Summer Camp 2008
This year our annual summer camp will be held in San Diego from June 5th - 11th. The Doshu will be heading the seminar. This is truly a once in a lifetime event so I STRONGLY encourage everyone to take advantage. You can register (and pay) online here. If you really want to go you should REGISTER EARLY. They are limiting the enrollment to 400 students and people WILL be attending from all over the world. Feel free to leave comments or ask questions here and I will do my best to get them answered for you.

Upcoming Seminars and Demonstrations
First: We will be doing a demonstration for the Transition
Program Fair at Contra Costa College to promote our special needs
class. Anyone who would like to participate please let me know. The
seminar will be on Saturday, April 12th sometime between 10a and 1p -
The seminar will probably only be about 45 minutes but the time is not
completely decided.
Second: We have also been asked to do a self-defense seminar
for the Alliance Blind Center. This will be about a 1&1/2 to 2
hour seminar on Saturday, May 17th. This will be a unique and
challenging opportunity. Dealing with the visually impaired it is
important to have as much hands-on interaction as possible so we will
need a lot of volunteers! Please consider helping out
These events are both marked on the dojo calender but I would like
to get something set up early so we don't have to rush at the last
minute. This is especially for the seminar in May because I would like
to schedule a practice session before the event to go over how to work
with visually impaired students.
I feel that these are both great opportunities to solidify our
status as a non-profit org and hope that you all can help in some way.
Sincerely, Your fellow aikidoka,
Luke
P.S. - Don't be shy!
